MILLER WALL VOLLEY TEST-1951



Purpose: To measure ability to use to clear shot in badminton.

Age and Sex: Men and women.

Equipment and Material: Wall, marking powder, shuttle cock, shuttle racket, stopwatch, tape.

Course and Marking:

·      A wall at least 15 feet high and 10 feet wide

·      A one-inch line is drawn at a height of 7 feet 6 inches from the floor.

·      A line is drawn 10 feet away from the wall and parallel to it.

Description:

·      The subject puts a sponge-end shuttle cock into play with a legal serve from behind the 10 feet floor line.

·      The shuttle cock is volleyed against the wall as many times as possible in 30 seconds.

·      Three 30 seconds trails are given, with at least 30 seconds of rest between the trails.

·      Rebounds count only when the cock is hit legally from behind the 10 feet floor line and hits the wall above the 7 2 Feet line.

·      The play may be stopped at any time and restarted with a legal service.

Scoring:

·      The score consists of the sum of the three trials.

Rules:

·      The subjects stand behind the starting line.
